Doctrinal Statement

The Bible:  I believe that the entire Bible in its original writings is verbally inspired of God, and is of plenary authority. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

The Godhead:  I believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30)

The Lord Jesus Christ:  I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man.  (Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1; Philippians 2:6-9)

Total Depravity:  I believe that all men, by nature, are dead in trespasses and sins; and, therefore, are totally unable to make themselves acceptable unto God. (Ephesians 2:1-3; Romans 8:7-8)

Redemption:  I believe that man can be redeemed from the consequences of sin only through the voluntary, propitiatory death of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the Cross of Calvary; and that His blood accomplished, once and for all, complete redemption. (Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 10:10, 12, 14)

Salvation:  I believe that man by faith receives salvation and that it is a gift apart from works.  I believe that the man who trusts in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ is justified freely by God’s Grace. (Romans 3:24-28; 4:5; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5)

Believer’s Walk:  I believe that as a Christian I should seek a walk worthily of the Lord and that I should consciously endeavor to manifest that quality of life that truly pleases and glorifies God. (Romans 13:12-14; Ephesians 5:1-17; 1 Thessalonians 4:1)

The Holy Spirit:  I believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, and who regenerates, baptizes, indwells, enlightens, and empowers the saved.  (John 16:8; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13, 17, 18; 3:16)

The Church:  I believe that in the present dispensation there is only one Bible Church which is called the Body of Christ, having a membership composed of all of the saved. (1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:22-23; 3:1-6)

Mission:  I believe that the mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel of the Grace of God in order that God may take out from among the nations a people for His Name. (Acts 15:14; 20:24; Romans 1:1-5)

Resurrection:  I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected bodily from the dead, and that He will raise from the dead both the just and the unjust; the just to resurrection unto life and the unjust the resurrection unto condemnation. (John 20:24-29; Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:4-18; John 5:29)

The Second Coming of Christ:  I believe that the second coming of Christ will be personal, visible, and glorious. (John 14:3; Acts 1:11; Philippians 3:20-21; Colossians 3:4)
